Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee of ASICON 2013, it is our proud privilege to welcome you to the must-attend conference that focuses on HIV management, being held at the prestigious Hotel Shangri La, Mumbai, from December 13 to 15, 2013. This is the official conference of ASI and maintains a truly national character, among several conferences organized in India.
India's unparalleled contribution in transforming HIV/AIDS to a chronic manageable condition with affordable treatment options by virtue of its high quality ARVs and low-cost patient care skills are lauded globally. Free ART Roll out by the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), including second-line ART with matured HIV-epidemic necessitates periodical review of strategies in care continuum. While the Government, Pharma and NGOs are making intense efforts to enhance access to care, ASI feels duty-bound to strengthen its quality implementation through scientific update..
Apart from successful ASICONs in Delhi, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Lucknow and Bangalore, ASI conducted several CMEs in different parts of India from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and Ahmedabad to Guwahati. ASI continues to be a front runner in training health care providers and taking positions on crucial aspects concerning ART and role of practitioners. ASICON 2013 will be a unique opportunity for scientific update and a quality gathering of HIV care givers and scientists. The deliberations will help enhance our capacity to offer quality HIV care and prioritize the research issues in India. It will provide an opportunity to review, reflect upon and look forward to emerging newer approaches in care and will thus be a milestone offering invaluable opportunity to learn, share and care with the theme ‘The Conference that Leads, Empowers and Delivers’.
Please block your dates and start planning travel to Mumbai forthwith. See you at ASICON-2013!
